Sleep is one of the great refreshers for the mind and getting plenty of quality sleep can change your mindset in a flash!
When you sleep, your mind and body resets for the next day. Getting plenty of quality sleep lets you reset and refresh even when the day doesn't go to your liking. If you find yourself struggling, take a nap or go to bed! You’ll find that things look completely different in the morning and you’ll be able to start fresh with a new mindset!
SET ASIDE THE TIME
The first thing you need to do to ensure you’re getting enough sleep is set aside the time. All too often we try to cram 8-9 hours of sleep into 5 hours of time. Choose a bedtime and start relaxing and getting ready for bed 30 minutes before the appointed time. Leave your electronics off or put away and read a book, do some light yoga, or journal before closing your eyes for the night.
SPEND TIME JOURNALING
Take some time out of your evening routine to put your thoughts to paper. Those spinning thoughts can keep you up at night so putting them down on paper lets you get them out of your head and get some rest. You can also use this time to write down some goals and intentions for the next day!
